A variety of a morphology and a degree of vascularization of intrahepatic metastases causes certain differences in their visualization at X-ray computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, that doesn't fit in well with common and standard representations about their appearance, and, thus, a “wash out” – a classical pattern of liver metastases, described by so many authors. The authors represented their own observations of the fact that liver metastases can have rather many-sided and unexpected exhibitions, which one must remember performing examinations of an abdomen at various categories of patients. Talking about differential diagnostics of focal lesions revealed in a hepatic parenchyma it is always necessary to consider, that a spectrum of different metastases is wider, than it was believed before. Revealed CT and MRI-signs can lead to a mistaken conclusion if a conception of a metastatic liver disease is too simple.
