Clinical Experience of a Coronarography and a Coronary Angioplasty with Gadobutrol at Patients with Iodine Contrast Agents' Allergy

We examined seven patients with a known allergic response to iodine in anamnesis. Middle age of the patients ranged in 51.3 ± 11.3 year. A diagnostic coronarography was performed in eight projections to all of the patients. Obtained angiograms were surveyed by three endovascular surgeons. Angiograms, obtained with Gadovist 1.0, clearly depicted coronary arteries and available collaterals all along. The angiography with Gadovist 1.0 can be a substantial alternative at patients intolerant to iodine contrast agents. The total amount of Gadovist 1.0 at performing of a coronarography and a coronary angioplasty was 1.8 mmol/kg, that essentially didn't influence on augmentation of nitrogen blood balance. Use of Gadovist 1.0 in coronary angioplasty at patients, intolerant to iodine, is a safe alternative of coronary artery bypass grafting.
