This article represents approaches to diagnosis of small intracerebral haematomas of supratentorial localization: computed and magnetic resonance tomography. It discusses in detail imaging characteristics of haematomas in the process of dynamics on the basis of biochemical and physical properties of different forms of hemoglobin from the hyperacute stage of the haematomas to the posthemorrhage pseudocyst formation. It analyses the application of susceptibility-weighted MR sequences to deoxyhemoglobin (T2*) for diagnosis of hyperacute intracerebral hemorrhage. It defines priorities for each of the neirovisualization methods.
