Diagnostic Biopsies Assisted by Ultrasonography and Computed Tomography (Ten Years Experience)

The work is devoted to an actual problem of an interventional radiology, particularly to diagnostic biopsies under a control of ultrasonography and computed tomography. The results are based on 10-years experience of application of diagnostic biopsies with a purpose of morphological verification of a diagnosis. Our results, based on a large material (1359 biopsies), suggested a high performance (90.1%) and low invasiveness (with 2.7% of complications) of this method of morphological verification. A choice of the monitoring method (ultrasonography or CT), needles design was defined by a chance of disadvantages, reliabilities, and risk of complications development.
