The Diagnostic Value of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) on Synovitis of a Knee Joint at Children

There was studied the diagnostic value of MRI on synovitis of a knee joint at 116 children in this work. It was determined that at 45.7% of cases a cause of synovitis were injuries of internal structures of a knee, most of them were injuries of menisci, and at 54.3% – inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the knee. All the patients were underwent arthroscopy following MRI. So, MRI is high-informative and non-invasive technique for diagnostic injuries and diseases of a knee joint at children that was confirmed by higher sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of this technique.
