E-mail: yumatova_ea@mail.ru, prof_yudin@mail.ru

Radial Diagnostics of Sclerosing Mesenteritis (Review of the Literature)

Aliyev M.M., Yumatova E.A., Yudin A.L.

Sclerosing mesenteritis is a rare disease of unknown etiology, which predominantly affects the mesentery of small bowel. The rarity of this state limits the possibility of the demographic analysis, clinical features, course of disease and therapy response. In the survey of literature viewpoints of different authors are represented concerning classification, etiology, differential diagnostics and treatment of this disease. Comparative characteristics of different radiologic methods in identification of sclerosing mesenteritis are given. The most frequent and informative computed tomographic signs of this illness are described. The problems of differential diagnostics of sclerosing mesenteritis with others to diseases are discussed

Keywords:
medical imaging, computed tomography, sclerosing mesenteritis, mesenteric panniculitis.
