Small cell carcinoma of the prostate is a rare pathologic subtype of prostate cancer; it is characterized by aggressive behavior course, association with early metastatic disease, androgen-independency and insensitivity to hormone therapy. We describe three cases, which illustrate imaging features of small cell carcinoma of the prostate and the progression of the disease which was estimated by pelvic MRI and others imaging methods. Brief literature review is given.
