В обзоре представлены возможности ультразвуковой диагностики в определении параметров регионарной и локальной аортальной жесткости. Показана роль аорты как сосуда, интегрирующего патологические процессы в артериальной стенке вследствие своего анатомического расположения и особенностей строения. Проанализированы данные литературы, демонстрирующие клиническую значимость ригидности аорты в качестве маркера сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний.
