MRI with contrast enhancement uncloses new abilities inan investigation of morphology and function of kidneys. Despite of available successes in this field, illustrated in the article, it is necessary to mark, that all problems are not solved yet. In particularly, there are still technical difficulties in acquisition of data about kidneys function on the basis of 3D viewing and separation a collective system from parenchyma. The continuing studies allow us to hope, that these problems will be solved soon. However, already today we might to assert, that the designed procedures of MRI with contrast enhancement have the expressed advantage in comparison with all other methods of the diagnostic radiology, allowing to estimate simultaneously a morphology and a function of the urinary tract without resorting to ionizing radiation and iodine contrast agents.
