Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Diagnostics of a Central Lung Cancer

This article describes a study based on MRI-examinations of 63 patients with verified central lung cancer. MRI-signs of different forms of a lung cancer were systemized. MR-semiotics of indirect signs of a central lung cancer and its complications (tumorous invasion and metastatic spread) was worked out. A supplemental role of contrast enhancement was analyzed. Differential sings of reactive lymphadenitis, metastatic involvement of the lymph nodes, and tumorous invasion and compression of the adjacent mediastinal structures were specified
