Alzheimer's Disease with a Belated Manifestation: Clinical and MRI Correlations

We analyzed an occurrence and a character of localization of focal changes revealed on MRI at 52 senile patients with a belated beginning, and a connection between the evidence of focal changes, a gravity of a dementia and patients' age. The age of the patients ranged from 68 till 90 years (middle age 76,5 ± 4,8). There were 41 women and 11 men. The multiple subcortical lesions were found at 13 patients that made a quarter of the group. At the others 39 patients the focal lesion weren't revealed at all, or there were minor abnormalities.
