Over 1988–2005 years 125 patients with an organic hyperinsulinism were examined. In 90,4% of cases the cause was the tumor of В-cells of a pancreas. An average size of a tumor came to 14,1 ± 3,5 mm. Noninvasive methods of diagnostic imaging allowed to diagnose tumors correctly in 40,5% with a help of routine ultrasonography, in 48,2% – with CT or multislice CT, and in 68,6% – with MRI. The endoscopic ultrasonography revealed tumors in 87,5%. The sensitivity of digital selective angiography came to 80,8% and selective blood aspiration – 91,2 %. Combination of these two methods allowed identifying a region of hypersecretion of insulin before operation in 96,1%. Now the methods of a choice should be routine ultrasonography, MRI and endosonography. In difficult cases, such as multiple endocrine neoplasia (a recurrence of the disease) one may use selective angiography combined with blood aspiration for a definition of hormones' levels.
