Fluorescent Methods of Molecular Imaging in Contemporary Radiology – Prospects of Development

Molecular imaging is a rapidly evolving discipline, which purpose is to display in vivo normal and pathological molecular targets. The heart of this development is based on elaboration of the contrast agents (specific probes) and high-sensitivity imaging technologies. One of the most perspective directions in this area is molecular imaging on the basis of fluorescence. In this review, the core principles of new methods of fluorescent molecular imaging of biomarkers oncological, atherosclerotic and thrombotic processes are discussed.
