The author analyzed 110 patients with alcoholic necrotic pancreatitis, drained by different approaches under CT assistance. In 107 cases the drainage continued more than three days, in 88 – more than 7 days, in 70–10 days and more. In one case, when a volume of necrosis was over 50%, a term of drainage composed 76 days with 6 days interval, providing an adequate outflow of 20–150 ml in a day. In 83 cases a repeated drainage was performed (up to 8 times) aimed to arrange passage from other cavities and/or because of a failure of a former drainage. Conclusions: drainage of cavities and necrotic zones of a pancreas at acute pancreatitis assisted by CT improves a prognosis and for sure shortens terms of in-patient treatment, mortality and treatment costs.
