MRI in Differential Diagnosis of APS and MS

The MRI differentiation of brain lesions related to antibody phospholipide syndrome (APS) and multiple sclerosis (MS) is a controversially theoretical and practical problem. The aim of our study was to find out the MRI APS and MS patterns. The 47 MS and 41 APS patients have been examined. We used a calculation of a relative coefficient of coincidence, exact Fisher's test and the coefficient of concordance for statistical treatment. We determined the typical syndromes for each investigated group (χ2 = 6.488, р = 0.011). The results of our study revealed the opportunity to differentiate the MRI brain lesions of APS and MS.
