Complex Ultrasonography of Hepatic Metastatic Lesions

The purpose of this study was the evaluation of possibilities of ultrasonography for detection of hepatic metastatic lesions. Data of complex ultrasonography of 61 patients with focal liver lesions are presented in this article. B-mode, Colour and Power coding, spectral Doppler analysis, tissue Harmonic Imaging, three-dimensional reconstruction were applied in our study. Characteristic features of malignant lesions are isoechoic, hypoechoic, halo, solitary calcifications, pathological vascular system, and arterial blood flow. Tissue Harmonic Imaging, three-dimensional reconstruction in B-mode and three-dimensional vessels' reconstruction provide additional information about structure of lesions in 58.8%, 15% and 48.9% of cases accordingly.
