The results of researches of a digital method of quantity definition of synovial vascularization at contrastenhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) are described. Potential of diagnosis of CEUS in diagnostics of inflammatory changes of joints in comparison with power Doppler, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and contrastenhanced MRI are presented. The technique and interpretation of CEUS are described. CEUS increases a color signal and differentiates more clearly active synovitis, necrosis and fibrosis. This review aims to discuss the actual knowledge of CEUS in inflammatory arthritis.
