Diagnosis of Arterial Aneurisms of Brain with a Help of Magnetic Resonance Angiography

The results of examinations of 567 patients at the age of 7 to 75 yrs, who had subarachnoidal hemorrhage, by using magnetic resonance angiography, were summarized. Practical aspects of its implementation, as well as basic concepts are outlined. This new low invasive technique for visualization of arterial vessels was found to be able to detect the aneurysm and to define its anatomic peculiarities. This makes possible an early detection of this abnormality for a successful surgical intervention.
