Imaging in Liver Cirrhosis (Review article)

Diagnostic imaging has been playing an important role in liver diseases. The role of diagnostic radiology in the evaluation of patient with cirrhosis primarily consists in characterization of morphologic manifestations of the disease, evaluation of hepatic and extrahepatic vasculature, assessment of the portal hypertension, and detection of hepatic tumors. This pictorial essay illustrates the broad spectrum of findings in cirrhosis.
