Myositis ossificans is a metaplastic process at which there is a calcification, and in subsequent, a true ossification of muscles' connective-tissue septa, fascias and tendons. This pathology concerns to slowly progressing diseases with a preferred suffering of male adolescents in the age of 12-19 years. Traumatic myositis ossificans should be considered as intramuscular fibrositis, arising as response to the soft tissues' damage. It can arise as a result of a single trauma or due to a frequent damage of the same muscle. To diagnose this disease is difficult especially in an acute initial stage, because its clinical and instrumental findings very look like a simple posttraumatic hematoma or rhabdomyosarcoma. As an example we give the description of a clinical case.
