Role and Place of Ultrasonography and X-ray Phlebography in Diagnosis of a Valval Insufficiency in Femoro-popliteal Segment. An Urgency of the Question at Varicose Disease

52 patients with varicose disease С3-С4 in the age of 18 to 65 years were examined. There were 35 women (67%) and 17 men (33%). To all of the patients was performed a triplex angioscanning. Probes with a frequency bandwidth from 5 up to 10 MHz were used. For revealing a retrograde blood flow in veins we used a test with proximal compression and Valsalva test. A valval failure of deep veins was for certain in 19 (36,5%) patients; in 2 patients the result was doubtful. To all of the patients a radiopaque phlebography was performed. A doctor ought to be aware of a possible valval failure of a deep femoral vein when conducting a triplex scanning an isolated valval insufficiency of a popliteal vein occurs. To clarify the diagnosis in that case a radiopaque phlebography is indicated. It is impossible to manage without it at equivocal results of a triplex scanning especially when reconstructive manipulations on valves of the deep vein are planning.
