The aim of this work is to investigate the effectivity of Optiray in clinical neuroimaging. It is known that contrast media (CM) is effective in neuroimaging of brain and spinal cord diseases. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA,) based on intraarterial injection of CM, is known to be the “gold standard” in diagnostics of vascular pathologies of brain and spine. CT imaging with contrast enhancement is widely used in routine examinations of brain, especially in diagnostics of vascular lesion and tumors. Spiral CT made it possible using contrast agents for CT angiography (CTA) and CT perfusion investigations (pCT), which is minimally invasive in comparison with DSA. However there are patients, who developed contrast-induced nephropathy after contrast-enhanced investigation: patients with cardiovascular pathology, chronic kidney disease, diabet mellitus etc.
