Efficacy of Diagnostic Imaging of a Spine at Multiple Myeloma

Early differential diagnostics of spinal lesions at multiple myeloma is embarrassed due to variability of clinical manifestation and poor sensitivity and specificity of the routine diagnostic modalities. The modern methods of the diagnostic imaging, such as X-ray computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and osteal X-ray densitometry allow to confirm clinical data and to estimate the efficacy of treatment procedures. 120 patients with verified multiple myeloma were examined and analyzed. The article deals with the assessment of the utility of various diagnostic modalities for examination of patients with the given pathology.
