Diagnostic Imaging – One of the Radical Ways of Improvement of Stomach Cancer Revealing

The authors described those changes in the main morphological forms of a stomach cancer, which took place in the second half of the XX century and showed its “modern” appearance. They underlined especially that dominating diffuse and compound forms of a cancer and a displacement of pet localization to the upper part of a stomach forces to reconsider a whole part of diagnostic questions because a nowadays pattern of a diagnostics relying only upon endoscopy, rests upon enteric types of adenocarcinomas, which are now infrequent. Diagnostic imaging and especially traditional Xray is able to reveal stromal timorous infiltration - the main component of diffuse and compound forms of a stomach cancer - that forces to consider it today together with endoscopy one of the main way of diagnostics. The authors believe, that only consensual cooperation of diagnostic radiology and endoscopy can fundamentally improve diagnostics of a stomach cancer. The authors prove a necessity of definite additions to an accepted today program of modernization of the service of diagnostic imaging, that implies an equipment of hospitals with the modern units for the traditional X-ray, as long as nowadays modalities strengthen so much its diagnostic potentiality as a whole and for diagnostics of a stomach cancer in particular.
