A Rare Form of Intestinal Obstruction

Mesenchymoma is an uncommon human tumor occurs with a frequency of 0,08–0,14%. Tumors of an intestine have few chances to be found due to a long absence of clinical symptoms, and limited opportunities of their detection by instrumental methods of examination. It is necessary to note, that extremely rarely adults suffer from obstruction caused by an intestinal invagination. The given clinical case is interesting, as a rare case revealed by an invagination of thin bowel evoked by a mesenchymoma with erased clinical appearance. This case allowed to show a high efficiency of ultrasonography not only in revealing signs of a bowel obstruction, but also in clarifying its specific form.
