Differential Diagnostics of a Mechanical Jaundice in Emergency Unit

The rate of a syndrome of jaundice is rising for the last few years. The patients enter the admission department of different hospitals where 3 main questions arises: what's the nature of jaundice, its cause and what's the treatment. What method of diagnostic and treatment would be chosen depends on a hospital. Such well-known and high-informative diagnostic modalities as CT, multispiral CT, endoscopic ultrasonography (endo-US), magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) are still unavailable for the most of hospitals in our country. That's why there's a need in both effective and available diagnostic modalities for revealing a reason of jaundice and its character, because these factors define a tactic of further examination and treatment.
