The history of liver CT over 20 year period was adduced. The estimation of method state and its efficiency in diagnosis of liver lesions, vascular anatomy evaluation, resection volume assessment, is presented. Also, we take a look at impact of technical innovations in diagnostic accuracy. The leading role of CT in noninvasive morphological assesment of the liver was demonstrated on the ground of self and global expirience.
